For those who perform daily prayers, deep flexion in the ruku’ position may need temporary modification when symptoms are intense. The sujood position is generally better tolerated. Sleeping is most comfortable either on the back or on the side with the hips and knees flexed at approximately 90 degrees. Icing the lower back for 10–15 minutes (wrapped in a thin towel) no more often than every two to three hours can help calm local sensitivity for many people.

Returning to the two parts of your question I did not cover previously — the C5-C6 finding and the term “lateroforaminal”.
“C5-C6 is the site of a median protrusion.” Median, sometimes written central, describes direction. Where a lateral protrusion angles toward the exit tunnel on one side, a median one projects backwards into the middle of the canal, toward the spinal cord rather than toward a single exiting nerve root. C5-C6 is the level most often involved in the neck, largely because it sits where the relatively mobile mid-cervical spine meets the stiffer segments below.
Direction changes the symptom pattern this finding could plausibly produce. A central cervical protrusion is more often associated with neck pain and, if it is large enough to affect the cord, with signs that are quite different from arm pain: clumsiness with buttons or keys, dropping objects, unsteadiness walking, or heaviness in both legs. Those particular signs are not something to monitor at home. They need prompt neurological assessment.
“Lateroforaminal” sits one step further out than lateral. The foramen is the bony tunnel a nerve root passes through as it leaves the spine, so this term places the material at or inside that opening, where there is little spare room.
One caution that applies to all three phrases: they describe position and direction on an image. They do not grade severity, and they do not establish that the finding is producing your symptoms. Only examination correlated with the images can do that.

Last 30 days I have been suffering from Lower back pain.

Do you need an MRI to get treatment for the l4-l5 slip disc? My case is severe; how many sessions and how long will it take to complete the treatment? I really appreciate any help you can provide.

My MRI shows my intervertebral disc heights at:
L1-L2 at 11 mm
L2-L3 at 7.2mm
L3-L4 at 1mm
L4-L5 at 6.8mm
L5-S1 at 13 mm.
I can walk up to one minute. I have been suffering from this problem for the last 20 years. Please suggest what I should do now. I am residing in India.
