NSD Therapy® at CSC: Assessment, Components and First Visit

This Practical Guide to NSD Therapy® at CSC explains Assessment, Components and the First Visit so readers can understand how the service is organized before any individual option is discussed.

This page explains the CSC service process. For the definition, inventor history, evidence boundaries, and suitability of the branded framework, read the main NSD Therapy® guide.

How NSD Therapy® at CSC Begins

practitioner reviews the main concern, health history, previous care, current activity, and any existing imaging or reports. The purpose is to understand the presentation, explain reasonable options, identify limitations, and decide whether another form of assessment is needed.

No component begins simply because the appointment was booked under the NSD Therapy® name. The person should understand what is being proposed, who will provide it, why it may be considered, the applicable fees, and the alternatives before consent is given.

Talking Through the Options

NSD Therapy® begins with a detailed talk and a review of the clinical findings. The first step is to understand the spine problem. Whether there is a confirmed disc bulge, a herniation or early disc wear, the team explains the options in plain words. Care uses gentle, controlled spinal methods and non-invasive care, without surgery or painkillers, along with advice on posture and movement.

What to Bring to the First Visit

Bring relevant MRI or X-ray images and reports when available, along with a list of current medications, important medical history, previous procedures, and the activities that are currently difficult. The MyChiro MRI examination guide explains how imaging may be used as part of a broader assessment.

A written report alone may not answer every question, and a scan finding may not explain the person’s main concern. Further imaging is not automatic. It may be discussed when the result is likely to change management or clarify a referral.

What the Assessment May Include

Part of the visit

What it may address

History and current concerns

Relevant symptoms, previous care, procedures, medication, daily activity and goals

Movement and function

Range of motion, walking, balance, activity tolerance and task-related changes

Selected neurological checks

Strength, sensation, reflexes or other findings when relevant

Existing imaging

Considered with the history and examination rather than used alone

Referral screening

Whether medical, surgical, radiology, obstetric, dental or emergency review is needed

Discussion and consent

Proposed options, limitations, fees, alternatives and next steps

The assessment is not a promise of diagnostic certainty. Some findings require another form of review before any NSD Therapy® component is considered.

How Components Are Selected

The framework may include chiropractic services, physiotherapy, guided rehabilitation, movement education, and selected equipment-based options. Components are selected individually rather than as an all-or-nothing package. A person may receive one service, a coordinated combination, a modified plan, or a referral elsewhere.

Selection may change according to health history, neurological findings, bone health, pregnancy, recent trauma, previous surgery, implanted hardware, medication use, tolerance, goals, and progress. No MRI term or symptom pattern automatically determines one particular component.

Who Provides Each Service

Registered chiropractic practitioners provide chiropractic services. Registered physiotherapists provide physiotherapy services. Read more about chiropractic services in Kuala Lumpur and physiotherapy services at CSC. Guided exercise and rehabilitation are delivered within the professional role of the person providing them.

Coordination does not mean that every person needs both chiropractic and physiotherapy. It means that information can be shared appropriately when more than one service has a defined role and the person has agreed to the plan.

Spinal Decompression Is Not Automatic

Spinal decompression is one possible equipment-based component, not the definition of the entire framework. Its use depends on the presentation, available equipment, intended purpose, contraindications, and the practitioner’s judgment. Some people may not be suitable, and others may not need it.

Research on mechanical traction and decompression is mixed. A 2023 systematic review reported low-certainty findings and no clear short-term difference between traction types. The World Health Organization 2023 guideline also advises against routine traction in most chronic primary lower-back contexts. These findings support careful selection rather than automatic use.

The official NSD Therapy® spinal decompression guide provides additional program background. That external information remains general and does not determine suitability for an individual.

Consent, Fees, and Progress Review

Before a service begins, the practitioner should explain the proposed component, its intended role, important limitations, reasonable alternatives, and any relevant precautions. Fees and expected appointment arrangements should also be discussed.

Progress should be reviewed through changes in function, movement tolerance, activity, and agreed goals rather than through promises or fixed timelines. If the presentation changes, progress is limited, or new warning signs appear, the plan may be modified, paused, or referred for another opinion.

When Referral Is Important

Prompt medical assessment is important for new or progressive weakness, changes in bladder or bowel control, major trauma, fever with spinal symptoms, unexplained weight loss, suspected fracture, infection, cancer, or a rapidly changing neurological presentation.

Previous surgery or spinal hardware does not automatically determine suitability. Relevant operative records, imaging, and specialist guidance may be needed before any component is discussed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will every visit include the same components?

No. The plan depends on the individual presentation and may change over time.

Will I receive chiropractic and physiotherapy together?

Not automatically. Either service may be provided alone or coordinated when both have a defined role.

Is decompression included for everyone?

No. It is considered only when relevant, available, and appropriate.

Can the first visit confirm the cause of every symptom?

No. The visit may clarify possibilities, limitations, and referral needs, but some questions require further medical or imaging review.

Where is NSD Therapy® currently available?

Availability should be confirmed through the Bukit Damansara headquarters and Bandar Sri Damansara contact pages before booking.

Is NSD Therapy® only for the spine?

Yes. NSD Therapy® is used for spine problems of the neck and back, such as disc bulges, herniations and early disc wear. Other joints are cared for with separate chiropractic and physiotherapy plans.
